Particulate Filter

Overview

Particulate filters are often fitted to the chiller in order to protect the unit itself, or your application. If fitted to the outlet, you are able to protect your application from any contaminants in the event of a pump failure. If fitted to the inlet, you are able to prevent particulates from entering your chiller.

These filters should ideally be mounted on the outlet, as mounting on the inlet will force a higher suction head (which is detrimental to pump life) and applies the pressure drop through the filter across the application. In such cases, it is important to ensure that your system is able to cope with increased pressures.

It is important to note that particulate filters are consumable parts and will gradually require more and more pump pressure until changed.

Sub-options available:

  • 10" or 20" length (where 20" can provide lower pressure drop through the filter where filter mesh size is the same).
  • 1/2" or 3/4" port sizes. - 0.2 micron particle filtration and for 5micron particle capture
  • Mounting any of the above onto a wall-mount plate
