Standard ATC chillers have a temperature stability of +/-0.1°C. Some applications are more sensitive to fluctuations in temperature and require increased stability. Extra Close Control allows a temperature stability of +/-0.02°C through an stepper-motor controlled hot gas bypass valve that continuously balances a mix of hot gas and cold expanded refrigerant. In this process, the movement of gases is gradually controlled, allowing for a more stable control of temperature.
This option is currently available for K1-K9 chillers. A low pressure switch is included to prevent the compressor from reaching the vacuum. If you are running a standard temperature machine, the controller will be limited to running at 39°F (+4°C) with a separate absolute low temperature alarm to prevent freezing.
