Who is The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS)?
UKAS was founded in 1995 under a memorandum of understanding with the British Government and was setup as a non-profit-distributing private company, operating in the public’s interest.
The United Kingdom Accreditation Service is the only national accreditation body that is recognised by HR government to assess the competence of organisations’ calibrations, certifications, inspections and testing labs.
The UKAS Royal Crown symbol is visible on all activities that the UKAS have accredited to signify the Government recognition. The Royal Crown symbol is internationally recognised and may assist organisations with their supplier choice, allowing them to have piece of mind that they are acquiring quality products.
The staff of UKAS carry out an annual audit ensuring that reliable measurements, tests and inspections are performed in compliance with practices that assist in the limiting of complications and the reduction of downtime.

ISO 9001 Certification
The ISO 9001 certification is one of the most widely used management tools in the world and is a member of the ISO 9000 family of quality management systems (QMS).
ISO 9000 implements the fundamentals of quality management systems, which include the seven essential quality management principles pertaining to the family of standards. The ISO 9001 certification sets out the requirements that organisations must fulfil in order to achieve this standard and is the only standard of this family that can be certified.
