As part of our plan for continuous improvement and to help
to grow our network of customers, Applied Thermal Control have appointed Rhiannon
Owen to the position of Marketing Associate within the Sales and Marketing team.
Rhiannon is responsible the company’s marketing, helping to
generate leads and awareness of Applied Thermal Control, helping the company to
grow and achieve goals. A large part of Rhiannon’s role involves ensuring that
customers have the information that they require to make informed and correct
buying decisions. This activity also supports our sales team, in making sure
that they have the right information to provide support to customers. The
technical and production teams also benefit from this work, as customers can
gain a better understanding of the product that they are buying.
“ATC are absolutely delighted to
have Rhiannon on board and continue to be impressed by the tremendous impact
she has already made to the business. Her hard working and flexible
approach to tasks have proven to be absolutely invaluable, especially as we move
through a period of change in the Sales and Marketing team.”
–Ryan
Watson, Sales Director.
So far, her favourite ATC memory is attending her first
event, Advanced Engineering 2022. Rhiannon really enjoyed preparing for the
event but was initially quite nervous on opening day. However, Rhiannon quickly
settled into her role on the stand and really enjoyed meeting lots of new
faces.
When asked about what she enjoys about her job, Rhiannon
said:
“One of my favourite things about my role is being able to
explore ideas and learn something new every day. I grew up with a real interest
in engineering, design, and technology, learning to turn wood in the garage
with my dad and spending my 9th birthday money leafing through the
pages of a well-known tool catalogue.”
Rhiannon went to university at Sheffield Hallam, studying
Learning Disability Nursing and Social Work. This led to a over a decade
devoted to working with young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health
needs, specialising in positive behaviour management. It may seem a surprising
career change, but Rhiannon has over a decade of experience of working in a
very fast-paced environment where she has honed in her skills in communicating
with and influencing a wide range of people, and where plenty of creative
thinking is required.
Outside of work, Rhiannon enjoys craft, particularly knitting
and crochet, and exploring the local countryside with her family.
