Applied Thermal Control are delighted to announce the appointment of Applied Chiller Services (ACS) as our US support and repair agent. Working in partnership with Applied Chiller Services to provide specialist customer support, we now have trained chiller service personnel in the US qualified to deliver a fast and efficient repair service. To assist our US based customers ACS will stock a full range of parts for ATC re-circulating chillers and some loaner units to help our valued customers.
Christopher Garrick is the President and founder of ACS, which is based in Eugene Oregon and newly dubbed the “silicon
shire” due to its relationship to the silicon forest (Portland, OR)
Initially gaining experience in the construction and heavy equipment industries,Christopher spread his formative years between education, operating his own construction company and working as a heavy equipment mechanic. While gaining this experience, Christopher found an interest in and an aptitude for engineering, and from 2004 his focus moved to gaining as much technical training and experience as possible.
The next step involved working on all makes and models of heat exchanges and chillers as a technician. Subsequently moving through the different levels of the industry, first as a service engineer and then as Workshop Manager. Ultimately using this valuable business experience, insight and hands on training in the industry to found Applied Chiller Services LLC.
The company now comprises 5 staff including 2 service technicians. There is a development program designed to implement on the job training. Staff gain relevant skills, continually generate quality repair work with standards constantly improved.
There are continuously evolving systems to develop repair standards and protocols ensuring proper diagnostics and successful repairs. System diagnostics have been developed over time. This allows for insight to be gained on specific weaknesses of various systems or components to efficiently troubleshoot problems and correctly identify root causes. All this means that customers receive an expert service and fast repair times.
ACS now offer service and support for all makes
and models of chillers and heat exchangers in the scientific marketplace. Utilising the team’s practical experience to
specialise in proactive maintenance programs and system overhaul, working with
a diverse client base including: Semiconductor tool manufactures,
chiller OEMs, fabrication plants and laboratories.
The vision for the future is very customer
focused and the systems Christopher has put into place will offer value in ACS
service to clients. The company aims to
be the best and will continually improve, providing state of the art laboratory
diagnostics for its customer’s equipment.
