Remote Alarm Pack (SA00001)
Used where the chiller is located some distance from the application,
but an indication of chiller status is required close to the application.
Many users site the chiller away from the application, either in
a separate room, an equipment chase, a plant room or outside of
the building. The compact remote alarm pack is sited close to the
application allowing the user to monitor the chiller, without the
need to see the chiller. The display indicates normal operation,
or shows alarms for temperature and fluid (both flow and level).
An audible siren also sounds in an alarm condition. The pack is
also fitted with an emergency stop switch that will turn off the
chiller should this be necessary. The alarm box can be mounted up
to 15 metres away from the chiller.

|
Low Temperature Pack (SA00002)
The Low temperature option can be fitted to allow the chiller to
be operated below +4°C. This option will allow all chillers
to be run down to -15°C. Please note that the cooling capacity
will be reduced at these set temperatures (see individual cooling
capacity graphs). The chiller must be used with Hexid A4, or a similar
heat transfer fluid, to operate at these temperatures.
|
|
|
|
Heater Pack (SA00003)
It is possible to raise the operating temperature range of the
chiller above 35°C by means of the Heater Pack. A heating element
is mounted in the chiller reservoir and a dual outlet controller
is used to provide accurate and efficient temperature control up
to 65°C.

Water Cooling - Kt (SA00004)
This option can be built into all Kt Chillers and is used where
you have a central or house water supply:
- Isolates the application from the house water supply (preventing
contamination from elsewhere or damage from additives in the supply)
- Allows the use of alternative heat transfer fluids (eg H-Galden)
- Has a more accurate control of coolant temperature
- Allows the application to be cooled to a temperature other than
the house water supply temperature
- Reduces air movement near the chiller (especially useful in
Clean Room conditions)
Water cooled Kt Chillers require at least 6 litres/min cooling
water at less than 25°C, with a differential pressure across
the chiller of 1 bar.

|
Water Cooling -K1 &
K3 (SA00005)
This option can be built into all K1 or K3 Chillers and is used
where you have a central or house water supply:
- Isolates the application from the house water supply (preventing
contamination from elsewhere or damage from additives in the supply)
- Reduces noise and warm air near to the Chiller
- Allows the use of alternative heat transfer fluids (eg H-Galden)
- Has a more accurate control of coolant temperature
- Allows the application to be cooled to a temperature other than
the house water supply temperature
- Reduces air movement near the chiller (especially useful in
Clean Room conditions)
Water cooled K1 and K3 Chillers require at least 10 litres/min
cooling water at less than 25°C, with a differential pressure
across the chiller of 1 bar.

|
Water Cooling -K4, K6 &
K9 (SA00006)
This option can be built into all K4, K6 and K9 Chillers and is
used where you have a central or house water supply:
- Isolates the application from the house water supply (preventing
contamination from elsewhere or damage from additives in the supply)
- Reduces noise and warm air near to the Chiller
- Allows the use of alternative heat transfer fluids (eg H-Galden)
- Has a more accurate control of coolant temperature
- Allows the application to be cooled to a temperature other than
the house water supply temperature
- Reduces air movement near the chiller (especially useful in
Clean Room conditions)
Water cooled K4, K6 and K9 Chillers require at least 10 litres/min
cooling water at less than 25°C, with a differential pressure
across the chiller of 1 bar.

|
3 Phase Supply (SA00007)
Normally the K1 and K3 chillers operate on a single phase supply.
ATC can build these chillers to operate on a 3 Phase power supply
if required.
Kt chillers are only available as single phase units.
K4 and K6 can be supplied to operate on either single or 3 phase
supplies.
K9 chillers are supplied as 3 phase units.

|
|
Non Return / Solenoid Valve
(SA00008)
The non-return / solenoid option can be fitted to prevent back
siphoning of fluid into the chiller when it is turned off for refilling
or maintenance.
This option is recommended when the chiller and application are
at different levels (more than 2 meters height difference), or where
a long length of flexible tubing is used between the chiller and
the application. It is also advisable to add this when the pipe-runs
will be going up into ceiling ducts.
|
|
 |
|
Low Flow Alarm (SA00010)
The optional flow alarm can be fitted where you need an indication
that the flow of cooling fluid has failed. The switch is set at
1.5 litres per minute. A lamp will illuminate when a fault is detected
and a buzzer will sound, if fitted.

RS 232/485 Comms and Software
Pack (SA00011)
ATC Chillers can be supplied with communications ports (either
RS-232 or RS-485) to allow continuous monitoring and logging of
temperature and alarms by an external computer. The comms. port
is via a 9 way D-connector. ATC can also supply a software package
to perform the logging, allow easy archiving, show on screen temperature
graphs and alarms, and view trend information. The package is easily
configured and Windows compatible.

|
|
|
In-line Deioniser (SA00013)
For users who require very high levels of purity from their recirculating
water ATC can offer an in-line deioniser, with all necessary fittings,
mounted to the rear of the chiller. This will polish the recirculating
water to better than 1 or 10 Siemens/cm. Cartridge expiry indication
is by means of colour change windows (Blue - OK, Brown - Replace).
A by-pass flow system is included to ensure that the flow rate through
the cartridge is always optimal

|
 |
|
Castors - Kt (SA00015)
Where mobility is required, Kt chillers can be fitted with castors.
(2 locking)
|
|
|
|
Quick Release Self Sealing
Connectors (SA00016)
All ATC Chillers can be fitted with self sealing, quick release
fluid connectors. These are very useful when fast swap out of chillers
may be required. The connector is released by means of a simple
catch, which automatically closes the valve, preventing fluid spills.
It is possible to disconnect one chiller and reconnect a replacement
within 30 seconds, cleanly and efficiently.
ATC will mount one part of the connector to the chiller and supply
the corresponding part in the accessory pack, for connecting to
your tubing. The Quick Release connectors are compatible with all
fluids used in the chillers.

Air Filter
A common problem with chillers is the blocking of the condenser
(radiator) with dust being drawn in from the surroundings. It is
vital to the healthy and efficient running of the chiller that this
remains clear. Where the chiller is to be sited in dusty or dirty
environments, or is to be mounted outside, ATC recommend fitting
of the air filter into the K1 and K3 chillers. This re-usable or
disposable filter is designed to make maintenance easier for the
user and thereby extend the life of the chiller. The filter slides
into the front panel of the chiller, and can be changed in seconds.

|
 |
|
Stainless Steel Pump Heads
In certain applications where brass cannot be used in the coolant
fluid system, ATC can fit a stainless steel pump head (SS303). When
requested, all components in the chiller will be converted from
Brass to stainless steel or plastic, in order to prevent any contamination.
Pump performance will not be affected.
This option must be requested if an in-line deioniser is to be used
in the recirculating system.
