ATC Announces TUV – UL Compliance
Applied Thermal Control announces compliance certification by TUV America assuring product compliance relevant safety standards to UL 61010, and CAN/CSA-C22.2, and also by RETLIF Testing Laboratories, full compliance with the relevant EMC standards, FCC Class A, and EN61326. The dual voltage, 50/60 Hz ultra-compact KT1 is the first model to comply.
The Kt1 re-circulating chiller from Applied Thermal Control (ATC), designed to meet the cooling needs of high-tech machinery and instrumentation with a cooling requirement of up to 1kW.
The TUV certified KT1 together with higher capacity units up to 9 kW are fast becoming an industry standard for new digital printing cooling applications including plate lithography and large platform commercial inkjet printing. ATC has also become OEM market leaders in the USA and in Europe for the commercial ophthalmic lens grinding and polishing sectors.
The smaller 480W capacity Kt series dedicated 110VAC 60 Hz versions for the USA markets have been ETA listed as UL certified for some time.
ATC’s Ultra-compact 1000W Re-circulating Chiller
1kW of cooling power is delivered in an ultra-compact 370mm x 450mm footprint. The PID temperature controller allows the temperature to be controlled with a precision of ± 0.1°C over the range 4°C to 35°C. Extended lower and higher temperature ranges and other standard options such as switch-able 50/60 Hz are available. The unit has dual-display readout, high/low temperature alarms, fluid level, flow and pressure indicators as standard. The Kt1 is provided with a choice of pumps and accessories to meet all flow requirements and is whisper quiet (58dB at 1m). The Kt1 is the latest addition to the range of ultra-reliable

ATC’s Compact 480W Re-circulating Kt Series Chillers Offer Low-cost Reliability
The Kt Series are rugged, small foot-print, lower capacity chillers capable of controlling to better than +/- 0.2 C for heat loads up to 480 W. Dedicated 50Hz and 60 Hz AC are available, as are mechanically switch-able dual voltage 50Hz-60Hz. Dedicated 60Hz models are UL listed.
The entry level model KTR is unique to the industry given the low cost and design simplicity for applications requiring a reliable, value for money, low capacity, single set point chiller without frills. Rather than using a PID based temperature controller, the KTR is based upon a throttled valve which controls to better than 0.5 degree C of ambient via an internal fixed set point (typically 20C).
The KTC version offers digital temperature readout. For applications requiring more stringent PID control to better than +/- 0.1C, the KTD model is an ideal choice.
